The African Campaign (1950-1953) was entrusted by Shoghi Effendi to the National Spiritual Assembly of The British Isles, who spearheaded the project and coordinated five national communities in the prosecution of a Two Year Plan to promote the spread of the Bahá'í Faith in Africa. This was the first plan involving international co-operation in the Bahá'í world; as such, it laid the groundwork for subsequent international teaching plans, including the Ten Year Crusade[1].
