Bahá'í point of view |
| Working with others |
A neutral point of view is a fundamental principle to any encyclopedia project, and we will therefore attempt to adopt the same principles on Bahaikipedia, known in this case as a Bahá'í point of view because this is an encyclopedia on the Bahá'í Faith. Therefore it would be acceptable to say "Bahá'u'lláh is a Manifestation of God" but would not be acceptable to add "and He was the greatest one ever".
Bahaikipedia:Bahá'í point of view, is one of Bahaikipedia's three content policies. The other two are Bahaikipedia:Verifiability and Bahaikipedia:No original research. Jointly, these policies determine the type and quality of material that is acceptable in the main namespace. Because the policies are complementary, they should not be interpreted in isolation from one another, and editors should try to familiarize themselves with all three. The principles upon which these policies are based are non-negotiable and cannot be superseded by other policies or guidelines, or by editors' consensus. Their policy pages may be edited only to improve the application and explanation of the principles.
[edit] Usage
- Capitalize He, Him, etc. when referencing God, Manifestations of God, or 'Abdu'l-Bahá. Pronouns or nouns in the platonic form referring to God, Manifestations of God, or 'Abdu'l-Bahá should also be capitalized.
- Be straightforward, Bahá'u'lláh is and not "Bahá'ís believe" or "Bahá'ís claim"
- Treat the statements of central figures as truth, thus presenting the Bahá'í view.
