Bahaikipedia is an encyclopedia about the Bahá'í Faith. It was founded on Monday, March 5th 2007, 4 days into the Bahá'í Fast with a goal to make all Bahá'í related information easily accessible to everyone. It runs on the same software as the popular wikipedia.org. PurposeThere are many benefits to a website like Bahaikipedia. Our articles will provide a reliable place for people to learn about the Bahá'í Faith and give tutors and teachers a way to easily access material on various topics. Our factual information such as names, places and dates will make research on the Bahá'í faith for school or newspapers much easier, and a well cited website will enhance our credibility. Lastly, our growing database of National Spiritual Assemblies and countries will make it easier for individuals that need to contact the Bahá'ís in a specific location. Additionally, media outlets can use information on this site as a backdrop to their articles on the Bahá'í Faith. Future ProjectsSimilar to how wikipedia has expanded to several different areas we will do the same. Our Spoken wiki project will aim to convert all Bahá'í material and books to a high quality audio format, as allowed by copyright holders.
