Mr. Bahman Samandari (d. March 18, 1992) was an Iranian Bahá’í and successful businessman who was arrested 17th of March 1992 and executed the following day. No charges or verdict was made known, however the Irianian government in a letter of November 1992 stated:

Mr. Bahman Samandari has been a spy, and in numerous cases has involved individuals in his intelligence gathering activities. He has a corrupt personality and has frequently committed adultery with married women. He was once arrested on charges of spying several years ago but because of his repentance for previous conduct and the lightness of his charges, was released from the prison after a while. Although he is Baha'i by birth, his indictment had nothing to do with his belief, and the verdict issued has taken its legal procedure and approved by High Court.

Mr. Samandari was first arrested on the 21st of October, 1987 because of his membership in the Bahá’í community according to the United Nations report on human rights. He was held until December 18th of the same year and released after the title to his home had been turned over to the authorities and bail had been paid. Following this he was required to meet with the Revolutionary Guards on a regular basis. The United Nations commission found "...that there were no legal court proceedings prior to the arrest and execution of Mr. Samandari."
