- 1956 - Territory of Tanganyika jointly with Uganda, Tanzania, Belgian Congo, Ruanda-Urundi, French Equatorial Africa, Zanzibar, Comoros Islands, Seychelles, and Chagos Archipelago, known as the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of Central and East Africa.[1]
