The Bahá'í Faith was opened in Singapore on May 26, 1950 with the arrival of pioneer Dr. Khodadad Fozdar. The first individual from Singapore to declare his belief in Bahá'u'lláh was Naraindas Jethanand in 1952. The growth of the faith in Singapore began after the declaration of Naraindas, by March of 1952 there were enough believers to form a Local Spiritual Assembly, which was established at Ridvan 1952.
